Trauma: Pain to Power

Mar 07, 2024

This experience was one of the most intense of my life.

Yesterday, I did back-to-back 3-hour long workshops for suicide prevention among America’s military veterans at the American Legion Conference.

Hearing their stories of real horror, death, war, losing their brothers & sisters to addictions, to shame, to grief, & to ultimately to suicide..

Sent shockwaves through me that I am honestly still working through.

What saved me?

The title of the presentation was “Pain to Power”

Fighting though the pressure, I shared my personal experiences of watching my brother get hit by a truck twice at age 5.

Then what it was like growing up with flashbacks, nightmares, chronic negativity, cynicism, fear based thinking, & thoughts of death.

Shame, & guilt only exist in silence,” so I called them into the light & watched them burn away.

The whole room lit up in conversation & openness.

I felt the title of the presentation come to life.

The pain was replaced with the power as we all began discussing purpose, meaning, & the reason to not just survive, but to be victorious in this life for our brothers, our sisters, & ourselves.

I had to capitalize on that motivation -

To make it permanent.

So, after I shared how to heal their brains & how to create a lifestyle that guarantees progress, purpose, & joy..

We wrote it all down on the LIT United Psychological & Lifestyle Exercises I created for my patients & myself.

Etched forever in ink, & able to be placed in clear view so that we never forget what we need to achieve presence & a life to run towards not away from.

The veterans expressed how they do not get the help they need, & they challenged me to share this mission at a higher level -

& after hearing how often they had been let down by the system.. I agreed.

So, here we go -

If you would like the most important exercises I’ve created to start getting your life founded on what really matters, I’m giving them away at no cost to you.

If you or anyone you know would like them, simply DM or email me -

“LIT United Exercises” & I’ll get them to you as quickly as I can.

As always, choose greatness.

Sincerely, Dr. Benjamin Phillip Morrell
